from art sales will benefit social ministries in the Church and Hunt community

To purchase a painting anytime before or after the show, please call Susan
in the St. James Parrish office (9am-4pm, Mon-Fri) at 410 771-4466. Paintings purchased at the show
may be picked up at the conclusion of the show or by arrangement with St. James.

A Note from the Artist

This show is the result of an invitation to continue to explore the visual story of the relationship between the Hunt, the Church and the wider landscape of the North County. The “Wider View” led to following the Hunt at other fixtures, some landscapes from the area, and other items of interest from the Thanksgiving Day event. I chose to miss the service to get out to see the riders tacking up and milling around “backstage”. The tailgate scene also caught my eye.

I  rediscovered watercolor this year. It is a quick medium and lends itself to expressive sketches as a counterpoint to the more finished oils. It is my pleasure to present this work to the community who will understand it best. My sincere thanks to all who have helped create the show.
