I was invited to join this group show of plein air artists. My selections feature highlights of the gouache work I have done over the brief years since I picked up the medium. Gouache has become a favorite for plein air work. I like the speed and portability, but the real draw is that the medium invites improvisation. These small fast field studies are a place to set aside the attempt to look accomplished and to try to grab the feeling and effect of the motif.
